The Nelson Room Stork.        Do storks deliver babies?

This elegant bird is a stork, a type of bird that has long been associated with the arrival of babies.
The idea that storks delivered babies began in Northern Europe more than 600 years ago. In Pagan times it was common for couples to get married during the Summer solstice. At the same time, storks would begin their annual migration from Europe to Africa, returning the following Spring – exactly nine months later!
