NEW WEBSITE LAUNCHED

A new online collections website has been launched covering the collections of Middlesbrough, Stockton, Hartlepool, Redcar & Cleveland and Darlington museums.

www.teesmuseums.com gives online access to 25,000 objects, by the end of 2008 this will increase to 50,000 and 100,000 by 2010. The new site was funded by MLA Renaissance in the Regions.

CHRISTOPHER DRESSER EXHIBITION CATALOGUES

If you couldn't make it to the museum for the showing of its popular exhibitions 'The First Industrial Designer' or 'Into Africa' then copies of the catalogues are now available by post at £8 each + £2 postage and packing (sorry UK only). The catalogues cover all the items displayed in the exhibitions. Send cheque made payable to 'Middlesbrough Council' and crossed a/c payee only to the:

DRESSER'S LINTHORPE 2010

The museum is planning the most comprehensive exhibition of Dresser designed Linthorpe Pottery ever to take place. The museum is looking to make contact with owners of unusual pieces that could be included in the exhibition. To coincide with the exhibition a comprehensive monograph illustrating the output of the pottery is also planned.
